Investigation Into Documentation Irregularities

Around March last year Wellard identified a number of issues of concern with respect to a shipment of sheep to Bahrain and Pakistan.

After conducting its own investigation, Wellard proactively informed the Australian Federal Police of those concerns. Recently the Company became aware of additional irregularities which it has also reported to the Federal Police and to the Department of Agriculture.

The company is extremely disappointed that it has been placed in this position and has been actively working with the regulatory authorities to assist their investigations.

As the matter remains under investigation by the regulatory authorities, and Wellard is assisting with those inquiries, the Company cannot provide any further information.
